Kodak Kodalite IVThis flash came with the Kodak Duaflex IV, but also works with the Kodak Brownie Hawkeye. It takes 2 AA batteries and No.25 bulbs. Those come in clear or blue (for color pictures). Since they sometimes expoloded the flash originally came with a soft plastic cover to protect your grinning subjects. It wasn't included with this unit. On the back is a chart showing the correct distance from subject with different films (of the day). This unit has a cracked reflector patched with some scotch tape.Click on any image to enlarge full screen in a new tab. Close tab to return. The body is made of bakelite (a kind of plastic). There's a white ejector button for the bulb, which gets very hot when fired. I bought a dozen bulbs recently for a buck each at a thrift shop. Will be doing flash tests (like all the other cameras). |
